Please be aware that bookings including children 12 and under must have an adult present for the duration of the experience.
Please notify us at the time of booking if there are special accommodations to keep in mind as far as location, seating, and/or food allergies.
Pop•Nic Co charges the Customer a 57.5 cent mileage fee (2020 standard IRS rate) for any events outside of a 30 mile radius from Brooklyn, CT.
Pop•Nic Co quotes are valid for a period of 7 days from issue. Acceptance of the quotation is subject to written confirmation by both Pop•Nic Co and the Customer via email.
Being a smaller company, Pop•Nic Co has a limited amount of decor items available. In order to secure items for your booking, a non-refundable 50% deposit must be paid at the time of quote acceptance within the 7 day quoting period. Final balance is due 7 days before the event.
Fees for event add-ons may be nonrefundable if a cancellation occurs after the add-on(s) are ordered and/or booked. In this case, The Customer assumes payment responsibility.
Payments are accepted via Venmo (@Courtney-Lamothe).
A card will need to be stored on file and information will be collected at the time of booking for the purposes of incidental or cancellation charges.
The Customer may cancel an event 4 weeks prior to the scheduled event. Any cancellation less than 4 weeks prior to event will result in the loss of the 50% deposit collected to confirm the event.
In your quote, a time allocation will be provided depending on any add-ons you have selected. Should this time need to be extended, a fee of $75 per hour will be charged to the Customer. Pop•Nic Co needs to be notified before the event commences if additional time is needed. For the safety of our staff, pack up in public spaces can be no later than sunset due to restricted lighting.
Pop•Nic Co shall not be liable for any loss or damages to items during allocated event time. The Customer shall be responsible for the security of these items at all times during the event. Pop•Nic Co takes no responsibility for any injuries sustained from the misuse of equipment.
Any loss or damages during the event are to be reported to Pop•Nic Co as soon as possible. An inventory of the decor items will be checked upon the conclusion of the event and assessed for any damage. The Customer will be responsible for any costs incurred to clean, repair, or replace any items. This is at the discretion of the Pop•Nic Co team. Any costs incurred from damage will be charged to the Customer's card on file.
Pop•Nic Co is based in Southern New England, which is often subject to rapidly changing weather conditions, be it rain, strong winds, or snow. We advise the Customer to have an alternate wet weather plan that can be decided upon 24 hours in advance. In the event of unexpected or extreme weather, the booking date can be changed at the discretion of Pop•Nic Co, and is subject to availability.
Pop•Nic Co encourages the Customer to bring food items, non-alcoholic beverages, and alcoholic beverages where permitted.
Pop•Nic Co may serve food items for an additional charge. Any food items that Pop•Nic Co serves will be provided fresh at the beginning of the event. It is at the Customer's discretion to decide if food is safe to consume, especially after not being stored at the appropriate temperatures. Pop•Nic and associated vendors are not responsible for illness related to food consumption. We encourage the Customer to consume food items and drinks at their own discretion and risk.
In the event that Pop•Nic Co picks up food items that were ordered and paid for by the Customer from a restaurant or catering company, Pop•Nic Co is not responsible for the quality or contents of the order. In this situation Pop•Nic Co is solely delivering and setting-up the food offering and assumes no responsibility for the order.
Allergy information should be shared at the time of booking. However even with allergy information shared, due to the grazing nature of potential Pop•Nic snacks, cross contamination can occur. Anyone with a food allergy is encouraged to refrain from consuming Pop•Nic and associated vendor provided food items and should plan to bring their own food. The Customer takes full responsibility of an any reactions or health-related outcomes related to items served by Pop•Nic and/or associated vendors.
Pop•Nic Co takes no responsibility for the consumption of alcohol and health-related illnesses or legally punishable outcomes.
Picnic at your own risk. Pop•Nic Co takes no responsibility for any bodily harm or injury sustained while arriving, during, or leaving the event.
Pop•Nic Co has the right to use photos of our creative work for professional purposes. Please inform us if you do not wish for this to happen at the time of booking. All creative work by Pop•Nic Co must be credited accordingly. All publications (media, print, blog, social media) must credit us and/or our vendors as the supplier of the concept and decor items.
Any photos you take during the event that you share with us may be included on our social media pages.
